EFT Tapping
Hey friend 💜 Feeling a little tangled up inside? EFT tapping is one of my favorite quick fixes for calming down, clearing mental fog, and coming back to center. It’s weird, it’s simple, and it works — like magic for your nervous system.
What is EFT Tapping? (and why it works!)
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) involves tapping gently on specific acupressure points while focusing on a feeling or thought. This combo helps release stuck emotions, reduce anxiety, and tell your body it’s safe to let go. It’s like giving your system a little ‘it’s okay bb, we got this’ hug.
When to use this tool:
Feeling anxious or overwhelmed
Stuck in your head and can’t shift gears
Before a big conversation or event
When you can’t stop overthinking something
How to do it:
Start by taking a deep breath and naming how you feel, saying “Even though I feel ___, I love & accept myself.”
Tap gently on each of these points, about 5–7 times each:
Side of the hand (karate chop point)
Eyebrows
Temples
Under the eyes
Under the nose
Chin
Collarbones
Side ribs
Top of the head
Feel free to try on other supportive mantras as you tap. For example, “I release and I let go.” or “I am resilient.”
Continue repeating and cycling through the tapping points 2-3 times, or for 60-90 seconds.
Pro tip:
You can be super casual with this. Sitting in your car, hiding in a bathroom stall, before bed — wherever you need it. No perfection required. Your feelings are safe with you, and your body knows how to let them move.
