Hey friend 💜 Your body’s been carrying a lot. Maybe you haven’t had a chance to stop and feel it — or maybe you’ve been feeling too much. This quick body scan helps you tune in, let go, and fully relax.

What is a body scan? (and why it works!)

This practice brings awareness to your body part by part, letting you actively tense and then release. It’s like pressing a reset button for tight muscles and stuck energy. It can also help you feel more grounded and connected from head to toe.

When to use this tool:

  • When your body feels stiff or heavy

  • Before bed to help unwind

  • During moments of anxiety or overwhelm

  • Anytime you want to reconnect with yourself

How to do it:

  • Lie down and take a full breath in through your nose, settling down deeper as you exhale.

  • For 3 seconds, tense all the muscles in your feet; and then, with a long exhale, release and relax your feet completely.

  • Repeat this process with each part of your body, working upward all the way to your face and head.

  • When you’ve scanned your whole body, rest in stillness and notice how you feel.

Pro tip:

You don’t have to be perfect. If you skip a body part or feel silly, that’s okay — just showing up for yourself counts. Your body is your home, and it loves when you check in and tend to it.
